Viacom’s internal summit to engage the company’s employees
The 13th of February 2019, Viacom celebrated the internal corporate initiative called Spark. The initiative aimed to engage and energize the company’s 10.000 employees with an expansive slate of conference-style programming. Spark was celebrated on all offices around the world.
– We wanted to do something interactive and engaging, something that would give people more information that can help them do their jobs better, said Bob Bakish, Viacom’s president-CEO.
In the Nordic head office in Stockholm, the day started with a 50-minute Q&A with Bob Bakish and Viacom vice chair Shari Redstone that was livestreamed across the company from Viacom’s New York headquarters. The day continued with workshops and brainstorming sessions, with the primary focus on encourage the employees of Viacom to think creatively and pursue innovative ideas at all levels of Viacom’s various operations.
We also got visited by two speakers – Simon Beyer from Ingager who had a session about digital trends and Mohamad Aljounde, winner of Kids Peace Prize and MTV EMA Generation Award 2018 who shared his amazing and inspiring journey for child rights.
