This nostalgic but yet new show is soon to be premiered and we took our chance to go behind the scenes and meet Joakim Tidermark – the Swedish voice of the Michelangelo turtle.
Turtles is a show that brings back nostalgic memories to many of us. Now it’s time for the new generation of kids to create their childhood memories with this brand new turtles show “Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”.
The all-new original animated series follows the Turtles on different adventures as they master new powers, encounter absurd mutants and battle bizarre villains, each with their own motivations. Ranging from mystics to mutants and madmen, new creatures and villains emerge to take on the brothers in battles across New York City.
Joakim, the Swedish voice of the Michelangelo turtle, describes himself as a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan and tells us that he, as a child, was quite obsessed with them. – They were my absolute favorite heroes and I was so excited when I heard that I got the role as Michelangelo because he is still my favorite character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. – I feel like I was born to do this role, Joakim says.
We asked if he feels if there’s any differences between the new and the old Michelangelo Joakim said
– That would be the appearance, his look, it’s a bit more modern now and he has new weapons. But he is still the positive and funny “party dude” so you absolutely can recognize him. Maybe that’s what I feel like me and Michelangelo have in common, we’re both like the class joker and of course I love pizza as well!
“Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” has a sneak peek premiere on Monday September 17th at 07:20 on Nickelodeon, so don’t miss out!
